Duct Tape Sword - base

I haven't decided on which design to go with for this one, but I figured I'd post it if anyone was curious how I make my swords.

you need 3 things:
PVC pipe (bout 4 bucks for 10 feet, light, cheap, and easy to work with)
Duct tape (I use duck brand duct tape, bout 4 bucks a roll and a lot of different colors)
Foam (good for making the details and also if you ever plan to fight with them. Also, I find PVC is a little too fragile without foam to cushion the blows.)

Normally I don't make too many huge swords, but theyre fun to make from time to time. I would recommend not going more than 6 feet though because it takes a lot of materials, takes a lot of work, gets REALLY heavy, and can't fit through doors easily.
